Shakespeare said it first "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet". So what would he say about the name of your child?

I went to school with a girl name Echo Star, and even as a child I thought it was an unusual name. Why did they name her that? Whether parents know it or not, the name you choose for your child makes a statement. Be it "hip", "bohemian", "upper-class", or "intellectual" your baby's name says something about you and about your dreams for your child.

In the book, Freakanomics, the author makes a guess at what the most popular names will be in 2015.

Some of the predicted top girl's names: Ella, Emma, Fiona, Linden, Phoebe, Sophie.

Some of the predicted top boy's names: Aidan, Asher, Carter, Finnegan, McGregor, Sander, Will.

The author may be on to something, because I've seen a number of Ellas and Carters popping up already.

When I was searching for a baby name, I found a great source that I wanted to share. You can search name by religion, popularity, by country, etc. http://babyparenting.about.com/cs/gettingready/a/chase.htm

Best of luck with the name game. Whatever you choose, it will be perfect for your baby.
