Organic Baby Pajamas

 Organic Baby Clothes

Take a cue from Hollywood's gift-giving panache, and give organic baby clothes. Halle Berry was recently spotted buying this darling baby pant and tee set.  Made of organic cotton and featuring adorable embroidered bunnies, this outfit is priced at only $39.  Since it is organic, you'll feel good giving this as a gift (or keeping it yourself). Available in sizes through 24 months. Get them now before your baby gets too big!

Boatman Geller

Things we love - Preppy Papers for Baby

Face it, after the baby comes you are going to be writing hundreds (or so it seems) of thank you notes. So you might as well make it fun for yourself. One of very favorite stationary makers is Boatman Geller - they print the most refreshing and inspiring papers we've seen anywhere.  From thank you notes, to gift tags to invitations, Boatman Geller's got the look.

Maybe I'm showing my age, (viva the 80's!) but I love the Izod inspired alligator on this note card.  Almost makes you want to write thank you notes.

Baby Star Crib Bedding

Baby Star Bedding...a fit anywhere

Baby Star makes some of the cutest crib bedding. Their bedding is the perfect combo of retro and today.  One of our favorites is the Flutter Pink Collection shown right.  The pattern of dainty pink blends nicely with the crisp black and white. Using black and white in a baby's room is a good thing. After all, black and white are the only colors baby's can see for a while!

Baby Star bedding looks great with contemporary cribs. But if modern isn't your thing, that's ok.  Baby Star bedding would look just as darling in a more traditional nursery.

In the world of baby bedding, this 3-piece set is a great price - only $380 (you won't find this cool of a look for that price anywhere).

Shakespeare said it first "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet". So what would he say about the name of your child?

I went to school with a girl name Echo Star, and even as a child I thought it was an unusual name. Why did they name her that? Whether parents know it or not, the name you choose for your child makes a statement. Be it "hip", "bohemian", "upper-class", or "intellectual" your baby's name says something about you and about your dreams for your child.

In the book, Freakanomics, the author makes a guess at what the most popular names will be in 2015.

Some of the predicted top girl's names: Ella, Emma, Fiona, Linden, Phoebe, Sophie.

Some of the predicted top boy's names: Aidan, Asher, Carter, Finnegan, McGregor, Sander, Will.

The author may be on to something, because I've seen a number of Ellas and Carters popping up already.

When I was searching for a baby name, I found a great source that I wanted to share. You can search name by religion, popularity, by country, etc. http://babyparenting.about.com/cs/gettingready/a/chase.htm

Best of luck with the name game. Whatever you choose, it will be perfect for your baby.

Bambini Carini Hooded Towel

Favorite Baby Gift: Hooded Towel Bath Sack

Yikes, I just got 3 more baby announcements in the mail. What to give?  My new favorite gift is the Bambini Carini Hooded Towel. It’s a great gift because of its innovative design. Its closed bottom keeps baby's feet from dangling, and the cuffs can be turned down to keep hands warm. Gifts that stand the test of time rate highly in my book.  Made of completely decandent plush terry velour, this is the kind of gift that you don’t buy yourself but are forever thankful for.  Priced at $50, and available in 6 gorgeous patterns: Circus, Red Toile, Blue & Chocolate, Pink & Chocolate, Sailboats, Pink & Green Toile.

Night Lights

Night Lights for your Nursery

Night lights are historically not that interesting (sorry night light manufacturers). However, BabyBrowns.com is thrilled with Oopsy Daisy’s line of night lights that takes amazing nursery artwork and turns them into colorful and fun night lights.  Priced at $19, it’s a great way to accessorize the nursery, while shedding a little light on the subject. (OK, I couldn't resist the pun.)

For a boy's room, one of our favorite is the Ocean Blue Night Light that features artwork by renowned children’s artist Jessie Hartland. For girl's rooms, the Mermaid Night Light is whimsical and fun.

Hands free Diaper Bags for Dads

Dad’s are getting in on diapering in a big way nowadays, hence the proliferation of great Dad’s diaper bags. A new one to the scene is the Logics bag by JJ Cole. Priced at only $34.50, it definitely hits the right note with most wallets. Even though it has a lightweight price, the features are definitely heavy hitters.  It’s arm-free design features a removable bottle holder, large diaper and wipes compartment, and includes a changing pad.  It is designed to fit both Mom and Dad. The Logics bag comes in four great colors: Grey/Green, Blue/Chocolate, Pink/Chocolate, Silver/Black. (Note to buyer: skip the pink one if Dad is the primary user of this bag!)

Field of Dreams Wall Clock

Home Run Nursery Clock

At BabyBrowns.com, we like Americana, and this baseball nursery clock is one of our favorites. It's as American as well, baseball, and it will grow with baby. For only $64, it does double duty acting as artwork and a practical clock.  The artwork on it is gorgeous, depicting an old fashion baseball game. It runs on batteries and is 13" round.

We'd suggest pairing it with the Andrew bedding by Maddie Boo, and Vintage Baseball wall art to complete the look.
