Petunia Pickle Bottom Cake Bag

Delicious New Diaper Bag from PPB

Petunia Pickle Bottom has again set a new level for the look of the mundane diaper bag.  This spring, PPB introduced their new line called Cake. The name says it all - positively yummy. BabyBrowns.com loves the rich fabric, plenty of pockets, and sleek lines. Cake bags come in three colors, Strawberry Lace (Pink), Blueberry Crumb (Blue) and Lemon Chiffon (Yellow).

At $325, it's priced higher than other Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags. But considering the construction, its looks and features it is worth it.  The Cake Bags have been designed so that they can be worn as a shoulder bag, or backpack (great for hands-free kid wrangling) and can strap on a stroller.  Built in change station is a cool feature too.

Moses Basket Stand

Latest Trend in Moses Baskets

Mother's have loved Moses Baskets for a long time. Since, well...Moses. Not only are Moses Baskets lightweight, portable, and easily stored, but now they just got easier.  The latest trend in Moses Baskets is a special stand that elevates the Basket, making it a Bassinet.

BabyBrowns.com's favorite Moses Basket Stand features a rocking base, and accommodates most baskets (see the actual product page for exact dimensions). Compared to the price of bassinets, the Moses Basket stand is extremely reasonably priced at only $65.

BabyBrowns.com predicts that this is a trend with staying power.

Murphy Smith Nursery Artwork

Remember Sock Monkeys? Introduce Your Baby to them.

The Murphy Smith line of nursery artwork has to be one of the most awe-inspiring we've seen in a long time.  From the French Scroll inspired collection, to the Funky Monkey Collection - we love them all.  Maybe we're showing our age, but we think the Sock Monkey Collection is as hilarious as it is precious. The colors are crisp and vibrant, and the price is just right.  Available in two sizes; 12" x 12" for $44, and 16" x 16" for $68.  Each piece comes mounted on wood backing, with a beautiful white bow on the top -- ready to hang.

Choose from four darling designs; Sitting Sock Monkeys, Big Sock Monkey, Tumbling Sock Monkey, and Three Sock Monkeys.

Need to pull it in with the rest of your nursery?  Try putting the Sock Monkeys with Caden Lane's Andy Bedding for a stunning look.

Stork Sak Jamie Diaper Bag - for Dad's

Just in Time for Father's Day - Brad Pitt's Diaper Bag

What do your favorite new Dad and Brad Pitt have in common? It could be this pebbled cow-hide diaper bag by Storksak. With Brad's growing brood of kids, he probably knows a thing or two about diapering and looking cool while he's at it.

Storksak's Jamie bag is roomy enough for a laptop or other personal items.  There are many great organizational pockets inside. It's available in Black or Espresso, and comes with Storksaks signature change pad.  We like it because it has clean modern lines, and is made of the softest leather. Priced at $198.

Happy Birthday Baby!

What baby gift do you get an almost one year old that has almost everything? We've had rave reviews with personalized birthday plates.  We like them because they are a stark departure from the run-of-the-mill plastic toy. Each 8 1/4” plate features an original hand-painted design; is personalized with child’s name; and is rimmed with a gold colored band for a festive look. Artwork is heat-sealed ensuring a high-quality finish and a long lasting keepsake. Plates are safe for meal time, but just like fine china, should not be put into the dishwasher. Priced at $36.

Nursery Glider

Say No to Disposable Nursery Furniture

When you make a big purchase, you want to enjoy it for a long time. That's why Little Castle makes such fantastic nursery gliders.  You get a fair price, the quality is superb, and you can't tell the chair is a glider. Little Castle Chairs are proportioned to give the most comfortable seating for a nursing mom, but look just like any chair you'd put in your family room.  There are over 40 gorgeous fabrics and 10 styles to choose from. Plus the prices are really reasonable.  BabyBrowns.com offers free shipping which helps save a bundle.

Chairs are special order, so they take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. There is a faster option though. There is two-week delivery on the most popular chair fabrics. Popular fabrics include: Plush Cream, Chocolate, Celery Check, Sage, and Rose.

One problem with nursery furniture is that it looks like it belongs in a baby's room. I have an issue with furniture that can't stick around for a while.  I had a friend who shelled out big bucks for one of those nursing gliders that have the exposed gliders on the bottom. You know, the kind of glider that looks like a...glider.  Well, the "baby" is now 10, and the glider is sitting in the living room. Tell me that doesn't look like left-over furniture.

What Do Mom's Want for Mother's Day?

Moms overwhelmingly agree recognition and appreciation are preferred over gifts on Mother's Day, according to a survey conducted by Baby Browns.

BabyBrowns.com, revealed 97% of moms prefer recognition and appreciation while just 3% prefer gifts. If mom could select just one form of recognition:
51.4% choose time with the family.
21.4% choose to be waited on hand and foot.
8.6% choose a craft from their children.
5.7% choose breakfast in bed.
12.9% of moms chose to write in their form of recognition, which included hugs and kisses, dinner made by the kids, time alone and respect.

The moms surveyed said that if they could choose one gift, they would choose jewelry.  Bracelets or necklaces that are personalized with children's names are always a nice gift.  One of our favorites is this charm bracelet that has a figure of a boy and girl on it. The bracelet comes in various combinations of children (twins, boy, girl, etc.)

One Mom issued this reminder, "Don't forget the expecting Moms!"
